Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
(OCD)
Phobia therapy is a specialized treatment designed to help people overcome intense fears that interfere with daily life.
I regularly work with those who find themselves avoiding places, activities, or situations that trigger intense fear and sometimes panic. You might notice physical reactions like a racing heart, shaking, or feeling overwhelmed when you think about or come into contact with what you’re afraid of. Over time, these responses can start to impact relationships, work or school, and overall wellbeing.
I have experience working with a range of phobias, and I use evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, both widely used and well-supported in the treatment of phobias and anxiety. Together, we work to reduce avoidance and gradually shift how your body and mind respond to triggers.
Our sessions are collaborative and paced in a way that feel manageable, with a focus on building a toolkit you can use outside of sessions as well.
If you’re tired of fear running the show and want to start taking back some control, phobia therapy can help.
I also offer supportive therapy for those who have loved ones experiencing OCD. I can help you to better understand what they’re going through and how to support them while also offering strategies to care for yourself.
At Levy Therapy, I offer virtual therapy sessions across Ontario and Quebec so you can do this work from the comfort and privacy of your own space. If you don’t see an available appointment time, feel free to reach out or add yourself to my waitlist.
