Chanel makeup: new products
I'm super excited to share with you some new products that I've been testing out from the Chanel Collection Libre for fall 2016. Some of these products haven't even been released yet, shh!

Sheer meets intense. Matte and glossy collide. The artificial clashes with the real in a bold new makeup collection inspired by the material urban world. Striking contrasts of colours, textures, intensities and light capture a contemporary edge and thrilling moment in time.
1. Chanel Rouge Allure, Luminous Intense Lip Colour
This lipstick is really beautiful and it goes on super smoothly. It's highly pigmented and provides full coverage. It's a great staple for any makeup collection.

Colour: Ultrarose (257)
2. Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour
This matte lipstick is one of my current favourites. It goes on smoothly and dries quickly. It's a great lipstick that will never smudge. The matte lipstick craze is upon us and this is a great product that will go head-to-head with the best that are available. If you only buy one matte lip colour make sure it's one of the two below.

Colour: Choquant (152)

Colour: Seduisant (146)
3. Chanel Le Vernis Nail Polish
So far I've worn three of the four colours pictured below. Each is unique, with visual details that set them apart from others on the market. The polishes from the Le Vernis line are rich in colour and contain intense glittery elements that amplify depth. The Le Vernis velvet line goes on shiny and dries to a perfect, seamless matte. Both varieties dry quickly and stay on for a minimum of seven days with proper application.

Colours: Le Vernis Velvet-pink rubber (542, light pink ; Le Vernis- Hyperrose Glass (544); Le Vernis- Gris Obscur (538); Le Vernis- Liquid Mirror (540)
4. Chanel Architectonic Eyeshadow Palette
This beautiful palette for F/W 16 is said to be inspired by the iconic architecture of downtown Paris. No detail has been overlooked. The palette boasts bold pearlescent shades, with rich pigments that have amazing stay-power. These five concrete shades are packaged beautifully, in a chic cloth pouch. The mirror and two precision brushes add a nice touch, one that gives way to the exclusiveness of this item.

5. Chanel Longwear Intense Cream Eyeshadow
I have always been a fan of applying eyeliner using a brush. I was super excited when I came across this product because of the size and the amount of product that you get. It's a large glass pot that comes with an adorable tiny angle brush for precision application. I personally only apply eyeliner in this way so for me there was no learning curve. A lot of people prefer eyeliner pencils for ease but I promise, if you can master the dip liner you'll never look back. This product is easy to apply and it goes on seamlessly.

Colour: Hyperblack (65)
6. Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss
I've recently started loving lipgloss again. I find a shiny lipgloss adds so much volume to the lips, and it's especially helpful for people with thinner lips. I love the depth of this gloss, it looks like beautiful glass, the exact kind of opulence you'd expect from an elevated cosmetics brand.

Colour: Super Nude (137, my personal favourite)
7. Chanel Bi-Phase Anti-Pollution Makeup Remover
When it's time to take it all off at the end of the day, this product is foolproof. This is perfect for removing really heavy makeup looks. I've never used a makeup remover that can remove every trace of makeup in one swipe, it really is powerful. However, f you have sensitivities to oil-based products this might be one to avoid. Overall it works incredibly well, and it saves me a lot of time at night.

Collection Libre is now available in limited quantities on chanel.com before it becomes available to the public in late October.
