L'Occitane: Terre de Lumière

Introducing Terre de Lumière, the first gourmand aromatic fragrance by L'Occitane. This fragrance was inspired by the golden hour, the period before sunset during which the light is a warm and golden tone. L'Occitane has captured that vision perfectly in this new perfume for women.

With zesty and aromatic top notes, this unique fragrance unexpectedly develops into delicate aromas of lavender, honey and almond from the South of France.

This all-encompassing scent is one of my new favourites. It is almost edible in a sense, with honey and almond, and other earthly aromas that ultimately all pull from nature. There are many dimensions to this fragrance. Some of the top notes are bergamot, pink pepper, and ambrette seed. The heart notes of lavender and honey give a very Provence energy that really ties the fragrance to the L'Occitane brand. The fragrance develops a bit of a floral undertone as well. And finally, the base notes of Acacia flower, bitter almond essence, white musk, and tonic bean become apparent in this multi-dimensional aroma.

Let's talk about the packaging for a moment! I absolutely love the shape of the bottle, it fits very generously into the palm with smooth and contoured edges. The cap is described as being 'aglow with light, as if it had soaked up the smouldering colours of the sky' and the bottle itself is said to 'showcase the vibrant golden hues of the land with its unique light'. The L'Occitane team was even so kind as to engrave the beautiful bottle with my initials- such a lovely touch!

Overall this is definitely one of my top picks for spring and summer. It is a warm, soft and incredibly romantic scent, with a deep musk that is sure to carry you well into the Golden Hour!
